Computer program FENAP

The computer program FENAP (Finite Element Non-linear Analysis Program) is a tool of analysis of equilibrium and free vibrations problems for one-, two-, and three-dimensional bar structures; plates subjected to plane stress/strain and bending (Kirchhoff's and Mindlin's models); and twisted prismatic bars. The stationary and non-stationary one-, two-, and three-dimensional problems of heat flow can also be analysed. The program is equipped with tools of graphical presentation of the results. It is implemented in DOS and UNIX (Linux) operating systems. The DOS-version of the program is equipped with a useful pre-processor with a built-in on-line help system.

The demo-version of program FENAP (for DOS), allowing the user to analyse problems with limited number of degrees of freedom, can be downloaded in the form of ARJ-file FENAP_en.arj (504 KB). It can be unpacked to a diskette or a directory on a hard disk by typing one of the following DOS commands:

arj32 -y x FENAP_en.arj a:

arj32 -y x FENAP_en.arj c:\directory_name

The program can be installed on hard disk C: (in directory \FENAP) by typing the following sequence of DOS commands:

a:
install a:

or

c:
cd \directory_name
install c:\directory_name

To run the program, the following command should be executed:
