COMPETITION
The rules of the competition for the best research paper presented by a young author during the 17th International Conference on Computer Methods in Mechanics CMM-2007.
- Any participant of the present Conference on Computer Methods in
Mechanics who would like to take part in the competition must:
- be born after the 1st January 1972
- have an academic degree not higher than PhD
- be an author or a co-author of a paper presented during the present conference
- present his/her paper
- The criteria of choosing the best paper:
- the basic criterion is the level of the paper, i.e. its originality and the advanced theoretical/numerical technique
- the way of presentation: its level and the author's participation in discussion will be an important criterion
- a supplementary criterion will be the author's share in the presented paper (is it author's own paper or what is his/her share in a team work?)
- Outstanding papers can be proposed by session chairmen or members of Conference Scientific Committee.
- The jury of the competition consists of Conference Scientific Committee. Decisions are made by a majority of votes. Voting on procedural matters is public and on the choice of the best paper is secret.
- The jury may award two papers equivalent prizes or not award any paper.
